The Federal High Court, presided by Judge Ibrahim Buba, today ruled that the Department of State Services, DSS broke the law when it impounded the international passport of former CBN governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on February 20th at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

Twelve hours after the Majidun Jetty-bound Bell Marine, a 28-passenger boat, capsized between Eko bridge and Ikorodu waterways, it has been revealed that among the persons who died in the ill-fated boat ride were two pregnant women, a small girl and five men, and their corpses have since been deposited at the morgue.

It was on first day of April, Tuesday, 2014, that Jim Iyke lost his mum, Mrs Esomugha. The deceased had been sick for a while and had been flown severally to India and the UK for treatment but lost the battle two days ago. May God grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss. Amen!

Police Arrest Fake, Fraudulent Nigerian Navy Commander

For masquerading as a Nigerian Navy (NN) personnel and defrauding his victims, the  Zone 11 Command of the Nigeria Police, Onikan, Lagos, yesterday paraded  36-year-old Samuel Adekanla.

A search  at the suspect's house had unearthed many incriminating things including naval uniforms, the Identity card of a commodore and other military accoutrements, which helped the police to nail him.

The suspect, who had the entire paraphernalia of a navy commander but with the identity card of a commodore, had under the guise of being a naval commander forcefully taken possession of five cars belonging to a United States business man.
