Father Arrested for Alleged Rape of 16-year-old Daughter

He is 45. She is 16 and his daughter. But despite her filial relationship with him, it never stopped Toyin Sodimu of Temidire community of Oke Apo, Akomoje area of Abeokuta, Ogun State from lusting after his daughter. He bid his time and when the time came, he seized the occasion of the wee hours of the day when others had slept to have carnal knowledge of her.


But he never reckoned with his daughter’s bravery not to be cowed by a father who had violated her trust, a cardinal principle of father-to-daughter relationship, by reporting the incident to the police. Following her report to the police, Sodimu is now in custody until he clears his name.

Mrs. Eletu and her baby are victims of police recklessness and brutality that has continued in the country unabated. A police Corporal, Friday Azuka had caused a fatal damage to the pelvic bone and faces of Eletu and her daughter.
